Razor and Inventor Shane Chen to License Patented Hoverboard Technology to DGL, Maker of the Hover-1 Line

Razor USA LLC, maker of the Hovertrax line of self-balancing scooters often referred to as “hoverboards,” together with inventor Mr. Shane Chen and DGL Group, Ltd., maker of the Hover-1 line of hoverboard products, announced today a confidential settlement of the patent infringement case Razor and Mr. Chen brought against DGL.
In connection with the settlement, Razor and Mr. Chen agreed to grant DGL a license to Mr. Chen’s hoverboard patents. With DGL licensing the patented technology, DGL’s Hover-1 now joins Razor’s Hovertrax brand as the only self-balancing scooters authorized in the U.S. under Mr. Chen’s patents.
