A: Razor has been on the forefront of mobility innovation since 2000 when we reimagined the kick scooter that became a global phenomenon for every age. We then launched our first electric scooter in 2003, and ever since, we have continued to innovate with new mobility products for all ages.
A: Razor Micromobility is our newest product that allows any adult to easily access one of our specially designed electric scooters in communities across the U.S. Razor Micromobility helps make those short-term commutes easy while leaving your car at home.
A: Razor shared scooter application utilizes a simple user registration process, requiring that riders have a valid driver’s license and are over 18 years of age. Helmets are required. In the app, riders can locate a scooter, rent the scooter by scanning a QR code, and then end their ride and complete payment. Razor’s app relies on Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular technology to remain connected to the scooter.
A: You must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. All applicable local laws do apply.
A: Our new Razor Micromobility has been custom designed from the ground up to provide more comfort, safety, and fun for our riders while withstanding the wear and tear of heavy daily use. Our scooters have UL-compliant batteries, cushy front air tires, a wide deck big enough for two feet side-by-side, and a rigid steel frame designed to best handle a shared service. Razor’s shared scooter is GPS tracked, and it has a headlight and taillight for increased visibility. Razor’s shared scooter has a runtime of 80+ minutes, and it travels at a maximum speed of 15 miles per hour. Every evening all scooters are collected and maintained by qualified experts to ensure peak performance, safety and reliability. The new Razor Micromobility scooters aren’t our original electric scooters, these have longer run times, stronger batteries, disk brakes and state of the art hub motor technology.
A: Our scooters are operational 24/7 in most locations. In San Antonio, our scooters are operational from 6am to 11pm per city regulations.
A: In most states, a valid driver’s license is required. No special license or certification is needed to ride.

A: Razor employs parking monitors to continuously circulate throughout the community. Those parking monitors will move poorly parked scooters and address any complaints reported as quickly as possible. Razor can also restrict parking in specific areas or outside the community through geofencing and GPS technology. Razor’s mobile app provides community-specific rider education after each ride to show nearby parking and encourage good parking behavior.

A: Razor professionals inspect and maintain each of its scooters every night to improve safety, reliability, and performance. Given our 18 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining scooters, we are confidently able to monitor the entire fleet’s condition before putting vehicles out for rent each day. Should scooters require repair, Razor carries a local supply of spare parts and replacement vehicles to ensure operations continue smoothly.
