Razor Scooter Rides into Los Angeles

Razor Share Dockless E-Scooters Launch into Multiple Los Angeles Communities

Los Angeles, Calif., — December 12, 2018 – Razor USA, working closely with city and community officials, has officially launched its custom-built Razor Share dockless e-scooters, offering a better ride to Los Angeles communities including Los Feliz, Sherman Oaks, and West Los Angeles.

Razor has received approval from both the City’s Department of Transportation and the Councilmembers in each of the communities Razor Share will now be operating in.

“We are thrilled to be in Los Angeles as it is home for Razor, with our global headquarters located in Los Angeles County,” said Danny Simon, Chief Operating Officer for Razor USA. “Angelenos will now have access to our dockless Razor Share e-scooters for a better ride experience.”

Razor Share scooters have been custom designed from the ground up to provide a better shared scooter ride. The scooters have cushy front air tires, a wide deck big enough for two feet side-by-side, a UL-compliant lithium ion battery, and a rigid steel frame.

Razor has been on the forefront of mobility innovation since 2000, when it reimagined the scooter to become a global phenomenon. Razor then launched its first electric scooter in 2003. Since then, Razor has been the world’s leading producer of electric scooters.

Razor will be holding a community pop-up in the near future where residents, ages 18 and up, can test out Razor Share and receive a free helmet.
