The Global Scooter Leader Launches Dockless E-Scooters in Long Beach Tonight

Long Beach, CA, August 2, 2018 — The global leader of scooters is launching Razor Share dockless e-scooters in Long Beach tonight after working with the City to secure a pilot permit. This is the first city for Razor Share with plans to expand to multiple cities across the country.

“We are thrilled to be in Long Beach and we are looking forward to being a strong partner with the City,” said Danny Simon, Chief Operating Officer for Razor USA. “Our goal is to bring a great ride to the residents of Long Beach that is fun, safe and convenient. With our global headquarters about 15 miles from Long Beach, we are excited to be a part of this community.”

To celebrate the launch of Razor Share in Long Beach, riders will receive the first three rides for free, up to 15 minutes a ride. Razor will be holding community events in the coming week where residents can test out Razor Share and receive a free helmet.

Razor has been on the forefront of mobility innovation since 2000 when they reimagined the scooter to become a global phenomenon. Razor then launched their first electric scooter in 2003. Since then, Razor has been the world’s leading producer of electric scooters.
