Fan Faves – Mathew Rodriguez

Razor rider Mathew Rodriguez learned to ride the Razor MX350 Dirt Rocket his dad gave him before he learned how to ride a regular two-wheeled bicycle – and he’s been riding ever since!

He and his dad ride together, around their neighborhood in the Bronx, NYC, on the tracks in South Jersey, and on the trails at their favorite camping spot in Fox Wood, PA. Mathew says he loves to race (and beat!) his dad, but mostly he loves the feeling of freedom he gets when he hits the trails.

Now 13 years old, Mathew upgraded first to the Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket McGrath and then to the Razor MX650 Dirt Rocket, which he prefers because it’s faster and takes the hills and jumps with ease.

Mathew is inspired by Travis Pastrana, his favorite rider, who won the first FMX event at the X Games when he was just 15 years old and then the AMA 125 outdoor national title at 16. Travis’s success makes Mathew believe that he can win major events, too, even though he’s younger than much of his competition.

And he’s got the right ride for the job! Customized with decals to make it look like a real pro bike, Mathew’s MX650 Dirt Rocket is a high-performance motocross bike made to hit the dirt hard and fast. Running on electric power, the MX650 generates more power for uphill and off-road conditions – and never runs out of gas.
